Position: Attorney – Insurance Coverage & Litigation Location: Burlington, Vermont (Fully Onsite – No Remote Option) Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire Experience Level: Mid-Level (4+ Years Preferred)

About the Role: Join a well-established legal team in Burlington, VT, focused on high-stakes insurance coverage and litigation. You'll work directly with clients across domestic and international markets, advising on complex policy interpretation and litigating coverage disputes, including bad faith claims and multi-district litigation exposure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Litigate complex insurance coverage cases, including bad faith claims

  • Advise insurers on multi-district litigation risks and strategies

  • Analyze and interpret a wide range of policies (GL, D&O, Cyber, EPLI, etc.)

  • Engage in motion practice, discovery, and settlement strategy

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to insurer clients across jurisdictions

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of litigation or insurance coverage experience (flexible for the right candidate)

  • Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills

  • Experience in policy analysis, contract interpretation, and coverage litigation

  • JD from an accredited law school

  • Licensed to practice in Vermont, or eligible for admission by waiver or reciprocity

  • Must be willing to relocate to Burlington, VT (Relocation assistance available)

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary: $85,000–$110,000/year depending on experience
