Job Description

A well-established, design-forward architecture firm is adding a Director of Corporate Architecture to its team. This integrated and growing firm offers clients responsive design and delivery solutions in workplace, tenant improvement, and commercial environments. Due to consistent growth and expanding client partnerships, there is an opportunity for a Director-level architect to step into a key leadership role within the Corporate Studio. Director of Corporate Architecture Responsibilities:

  • Direct and oversee the design and execution of corporate interiors, workplace HQs, and tenant improvement projects

  • Lead project visioning, space programming, and client presentations, aligning user needs with business objectives and design intent.

  • Manage project delivery from schematic design through construction administration, including code compliance, detailing, and coordination.

  • Maintain strong client relationships, serving as the primary point of contact throughout the design and construction lifecycle.

  • Mentor and guide architectural team members across documentation, detailing, and technical execution

  • Collaborate closely with internal design and engineering disciplines to ensure coordinated and integrated delivery.

  • Participate in studio leadership, including hiring, design reviews, QA/QC, and operational planning.

  • Contribute to the long-term growth of the corporate/commercial practice through repeat business, design leadership, and staff development.

Qualifications Include:

  • Licensed Architect (U.S.) required

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture

  • 10–15 years of architectural experience, with a strong background in corporate interiors, commercial workplace, or tenant improvement

  • Strong command of space planning, construction detailing, and Revit documentation

  • Excellent communication and client-facing experience at both the user and executive levels

  • Deep understanding of codes, ADA, and project delivery phases

  • Background working in integrated A/E environments preferred

  • Must be local to the Upper Midwest region or already based in a commutable metro (no relocation offered)
