Tax Director

Location: Boca Raton, FL (or Palm Beach Gardens, FL)

Overview

A leading national advisory, tax and assurance firm is seeking a Tax Director to deliver industry-focused tax advisory and compliance services to middle-market and large corporate clients. Boca Raton, Florida is among the listed offices (Palm Beach Gardens and New York/New Jersey offices also listed). You will work side-by-side with firm leadership to serve clients and build the business.

Responsibilities

• Lead client relationships on day-to-day tax matters for clients ranging from middle market to multinational
• Provide federal tax compliance and consulting services to industry-specific clients
• Consult on technical matters and special projects in corporate and flow-through taxation, accounting methods and ASC 740
• Research tax matters, respond to IRS and other tax authority inquiries, and make recommendations
• Coordinate with specialty tax practices (state and local, international, R&D and credits)
• Manage engagement staffing, billing and collections and meet profitability targets
• Network and build relationships to acquire new clients, projects and revenue
• Support the growth and development of team members

Qualifications

• 4-year degree; CPA, law license or Enrolled Agent required
• 12 years of experience
• 8+ years of federal tax compliance and consulting experience in a professional services firm preferred
• 5+ years of supervisory experience mentoring and counseling associates
• Strong management, analytical, project management and communication skills
• Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship preferred
