Tax Senior Manager

Location: Lincolnshire (Chicago area), IL

Overview

A national accounting and advisory firm is seeking a Tax Senior Manager for its industrial and consumer products tax group. The role can be based in its Chicago-area (Lincolnshire, Illinois) office, among others, working alongside experienced CPAs and industry leaders with a path to partnership. Hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Review complex C corporation, S corporation and partnership income tax returns
• Provide strategic planning and advise clients on federal and state compliance issues
• Manage multiple engagements concurrently with various teams to meet client deadlines
• Identify tax planning opportunities
• Counsel team members through evaluations
• Serve as an instructor or discussion leader in professional development programs
• Seek and develop new clients and business

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting and CPA license, or a master's in taxation
• 8+ years in a public accounting tax department, leading multiple engagements and supervising staff
• Excellent analytical and technical tax skills
• Exceptional client service and communication skills
• Strong leadership, training and mentoring skills
• Ability to travel as needed
