Custom Home Project Manager

A well-established luxury custom home builder in the Dallas area is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their growing team. This role will oversee high-end custom residential projects ranging from $2M–$10M+, working closely with ownership, architects, designers, clients, and field teams to ensure each project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

This is an in-office Project Manager position with a strong focus on preconstruction, project coordination, budgeting, purchasing, and supporting field operations throughout the build process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full project lifecycle for luxury custom homes from preconstruction through closeout
  • Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and job cost tracking
  • Partner closely with ownership, architects, designers, clients, and consultants throughout the project
  • Oversee subcontractor bidding, scope review, contract negotiations, and procurement
  • Coordinate with Superintendents and field teams to maintain project schedules and budgets
  • Manage client selections, allowances, change orders, and project documentation
  • Review plans, specifications, and scopes to identify potential issues before construction
  • Track project costs, commitments, and financial performance
  • Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and trade partners
  • Conduct regular project meetings and provide updates to ownership and clients
  • Assist with resolving design, scheduling, budget, and field-related issues
  • Ensure projects meet the company's standards for quality, craftsmanship, and client experience

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Project Management experience in residential construction
  • Proven experience managing custom or luxury homes valued at $2M–$10M+
  • Strong understanding of construction budgets, scheduling, purchasing, and job costing
  • Experience working directly with high-end clients, architects, designers, and trade partners
  • Strong knowledge of residential construction processes from preconstruction through completion
  • Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with Buildertrend, Procore, or similar construction management software is a plus
