Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Business Development Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will own the full buyer relationship, manage the complete sales cycle from prospecting to close, and build a robust book of business. This individual will develop new opportunities, secure orders to meet forecasts, and establish long-term customer partnerships supporting naval weapons platforms through precision electronics assembly, complex wiring solutions, full system integration, and lifecycle sustainment services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute annual bookings plan to meet company marketing forecasts
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through continuous client engagement
  • Solicit qualified bid/proposal opportunities and determine long-term customer needs
  • Maintain detailed records of target accounts, project data, and marketing coordination
  • Prospect into new accounts via direct calls, email, phone, and multichannel outreach
  • Manage all sales activities within assigned and potential account base
  • Administer customer specifications and deliver tailored business solutions
  • Collaborate with Sales Leader on account planning and pricing strategy
  • Track outreach impact with data-driven metrics and optimize performance
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date Salesforce CRM records and generate leadership reports

Qualifications:

  • BS degree preferred; or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 3 years of direct sales experience in Manufacturing
  • Proven success in outside sales and new business acquisition
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong analytical problem-solving and project management abilities
  • Proficiency in PC systems, hardware, and software
  • Advanced Excel skills and hands-on Salesforce CRM experience
  • High energy, results-oriented, and resilient under rejection
  • Exceptional organizational, planning, and prioritization skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with integrity
