Responsibilities
- Lead all department activity, including the procurement, sales, operations, and delivery of products and services in propane, lubricants, and refined fuels.
- Oversee costs of operations and develop strategies to reduce costs when possible
- Supervise sales, service, and delivery staff and assist when needed in personnel, operations, and planning
- Lead business development, strategic planning, and marketing of products and services with management and sales teams
- Develop innovating pricing and marketing programs that maintain company profitability
- Foster strong relationships with and provide consultation to energy consumers
- Manage, evaluate, and provide professional development opportunities for employees
- Work collaboratively with administrative staff to achieve company-wide initiatives, including, profitability, cross-selling, communications, staffing, and safety
- Adhere to company credit policy
- Actively participate in trade-association groups in the best interest of the company
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, agriculture, or related field
- 5+ years related experience or equivalent
- 2-5 years in energy sales or marketing
- Knowledge of agriculture business and cooperative structure
- Knowledge of pricing, purchasing, and distribution of energy products
- Management experience of individuals and teams
- Highly developed and demonstrated teamwork skills
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills
- Ability to manage relationships both internally and externally
- Ability to lead in an environment of change
