Mechanical Engineer

An established manufacturer in the area is searching for a Mechanical Engineer to join their team. Ideal candidates for this Mechanical Engineer position must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills while being an independent self-starter. Must also possess strong time management and communication skills.

Mechanical Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for instructional material related to design/functionality of equipment, safety, and quality.
  • Participate in concurrent engineering design reviews as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Evaluate and approve drawings, routings, specs, and other production related documents.
  • Design and/or procure production related equipment.
  • Use Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to determine corrective and preventative actions to reduce/eliminate production problems.
  • Conduct training to introduce new processes and procedures.
  • Prepare/manufacture prototypes as required utilizing the principals of concurrent engineering.

Mechanical Engineer Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering or related fields is required.
  • 3-5 years' experience required.
  • Ability to work fluently with Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent time management, problem prevention and problem-solving skills.
  • MRP Systems experience preferred.
