Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Assists the department in carrying out various human resource programs and procedures for all company employees.
  • Provides guidance to employees based on HR policies and procedures.
  • Processes payroll.
  • Maintains human resource information system records and compiles reports from the database as needed.
  • Assists with internal and external HR audits; participates in the collection and submittal of supporting documentation for review; assists with responding to audit inquires and recommendations.
  • Manages employee life events such as leave of absence, status changes and exit interviews.
  • Participates in benefits administration by communicating benefits information to employees, monitoring eligibility and processing changes as well as verifies billing accuracy and processes for payment.
  • Participates in recruitment efforts for exempt, nonexempt and temporary job openings, such as screening and interviewing to match experience with specific job-related requirements.
  • Maintains and coordinates employee recognition programs.
  • Conducts new hire orientations to ensure employees gain an understanding of benefit plans and enrollment provisions.
  • Monitors employee eligibility for benefit plans. Reviews benefits for employees and processes enrollment, cancellation, or changes. Verifies benefit billing accuracy and processes for payment.
  • Manages personnel data in organizational training and development efforts.
  • Facilitates departmental training and developmental efforts.

Requirements

Education and experience:

  • A B.S. or B.A. degree, or equivalent, in human resources, business, or related field
  • HR certification preferred
  • A minimum of three (3) years’ related experience normally required
