Overhead Crane Service Technician Needed!
A growing industrial services company is seeking experienced Overhead Crane/Hoist Service Technicians in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. This is a field-based position focused on inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing overhead crane systems. Ideal candidates are customer-focused, proactive, and technically skilled in both mechanical and electrical systems.
Primary Responsibilities:
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on overhead cranes and hoists
Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues including gear drives, bearings, couplings, hoists, VFDs, and remote systems
Conduct inspections and provide professional repair recommendations in compliance with OSHA, CMAA, NEC, and ANSI standards
Communicate clearly with customers and internal support staff regarding service findings, repairs, and system upgrades
Respond promptly to breakdowns and emergency service calls
Recommend additional preventive maintenance or inspections as needed
Skills and Qualifications:
Ability to work independently and under pressure with tight deadlines
Skilled in troubleshooting electrical circuits and interpreting electrical schematics
Experience with disassembling and reassembling complex mechanical systems
Knowledge of OSHA and ANSI inspection standards
Welding and fabrication skills (certification preferred)
Comfortable working at heights (20–100+ ft)
Strong commitment to safety, quality, and confidentiality
Additional Requirements:
Must be available for overtime, weekends, and on-call rotations as needed
Occasional travel for out-of-town and overnight assignments may be required
