Join our respected team as a Municipal & School Law Associate, where your legal expertise will help guide school districts, municipalities, and public sector clients through the complex legal landscape they face every day.

This is more than just a legal role—it’s your chance to advocate for communities, support public education, and make a tangible impact on government policy at the local level.

💼 What You'll Be Doing:

You’ll work closely with seasoned Shareholders and Associates to provide trusted counsel across a wide range of public sector matters. Key responsibilities include:

  • Advising clients on state and local laws including the Sunshine Act, Right-to-Know Law, Ethics Act, and others governing public entities
  • Representing clients in zoning, land use, and code enforcement matters (variances, special exceptions, conditional uses)
  • Drafting and enforcing municipal ordinances and policy documents
  • Counseling on public bidding, procurement, and contracting
  • Supporting collective bargaining, grievance arbitration, and labor relations
  • Providing legal guidance on student rights, discipline, and special education issues
  • Preparing legal filings and appearing in hearings, meetings, and court proceedings
  • Attending school board, zoning board, and municipal meetings as legal counsel
  • Managing legal aspects of eminent domain, tax issues, and real estate transactions

✅ What We're Looking For:

  • Licensed Attorney in Pennsylvania
  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • 2–4 years of relevant legal experience in municipal, education, or public sector law
  • Strong research and drafting skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Excellent communicator—able to distill complex laws into actionable guidance
  • Ability to thrive under deadlines and work independently in a fast-paced, team-centered office

🔍 Bonus Skills That Set You Apart:

  • Familiarity with special education law and student rights
  • Experience in public sector labor and employment law
  • Proficiency with iManage or similar document management systems
  • Experience with e-filing systems for state/local courts

This is a chance to build a meaningful career in public service law—where your work will directly impact schools, communities, and local governments. You'll be part of a firm that values excellence, integrity, and professional development. Our attorneys are deeply involved in the communities they serve, and we’re looking for someone who shares that passion.
