Our client is a leading force in commercial construction across the Southeast, with a reputation for delivering high-quality, on-time, and on-budget projects across a wide range of sectors—office, industrial, mixed-use, retail, and more. As we continue to grow, we’re seeking an experienced and strategic Vice President of Commercial Construction to lead operations, drive business development, and ensure excellence across all phases of our projects.

Position Overview:
As Vice President, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the commercial construction division. This includes operational leadership, client relationship management, team development, project delivery, and strategic planning. The ideal candidate brings strong construction knowledge, business acumen, and a proven track record of success in executive-level roles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee the successful execution of all commercial construction projects.
  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to project managers, superintendents, and support staff.
  • Maintain and grow relationships with clients, architects, subcontractors, and key stakeholders.
  • Ensure projects meet quality, safety, budget, and scheduling standards.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership on long-term planning and business development initiatives.
  • Monitor financial performance, forecasts, and key performance indicators.
  • Recruit, mentor, and retain top construction talent.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and with high-profile clients.

Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of progressive experience in commercial construction, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple large-scale commercial construction projects.
  • Deep understanding of construction means and methods, scheduling, budgeting, and safety compliance.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
  • Established network in the Atlanta construction market is highly preferred.
