Job Title: Senior Estimator – Structural Steel Erection
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join our team, specializing in structural steel erection projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial steel construction estimating and be skilled in producing accurate take-offs, cost analysis, and bid proposals.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed estimates for structural steel erection projects from conceptual through final bid.
Perform quantity take-offs, review drawings, and analyze specifications.
Utilize Tekla and Bluebeam software for accurate estimating and digital plan management.
Work closely with project managers, engineers, and field teams to ensure estimates align with project requirements.
Evaluate subcontractor and vendor quotes for accuracy and competitiveness.
Maintain current knowledge of market pricing, industry trends, and construction practices.
Assist with bid strategy, proposals, and presentations.
Qualifications
Minimum 5+ years of experience estimating structural steel erection or related commercial steel construction projects.
Proficiency in Tekla and Bluebeam software (required).
Strong understanding of structural steel construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
