gpac (The #1 Recruiting Firm in the Nation) is partnering with a well-established firm in Phoenix, AZ to identify an experienced Bankruptcy Paralegal to join its growing practice. This is an opportunity to take a lead role in complex bankruptcy matters while enjoying the flexibility of a remote/hybrid schedule and a generous benefits package.

About the Role
You’ll support attorneys in all aspects of Chapter 7, 11, and 13 bankruptcy filings, ensuring compliance with court procedures and managing the full lifecycle of each case. The ideal candidate has strong technical skills, deep bankruptcy knowledge, and the confidence to manage deadlines and filings independently.

What You’ll Do

  • Prepare and file bankruptcy petitions, schedules, SOFAs, creditor matrices, and proofs of claim
  • Assist with Chapter 11 disclosure statements and reorganization plans
  • Draft motions, objections, notices, and orders for bankruptcy and related state court matters
  • Conduct legal research on bankruptcy rules, case law, and procedures
  • Communicate with courts, trustees, creditors, and clients on case developments
  • Track deadlines, hearing dates, and post-filing requirements
  • Perform lien searches, due diligence, and manage document organization
  • Maintain case files and prepare trial exhibits and hearing binders
  • File electronically using CM/ECF and other platforms

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ Years Paralegal experience in bankruptcy
  • In-depth knowledge of bankruptcy rules, court procedures, and terminology
  • Proficient in Best Case, CM/ECF, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize competing deadlines
  • Detail-oriented and proactive in managing case progress
  • Familiarity with federal bankruptcy rules and local court procedures

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $75,000 – $100,000, depending on experience
  • Remote/Hybrid work model (primarily remote with some in-office requirements)
