This position is for a heavy civil contractor seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager with a background in bridge construction and/or wastewater treatment facility projects. This is a confidential search for a company known for its technical excellence, strong backlog, and long-term stability.
Position Overview: The Project Manager will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of complex infrastructure projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. This role requires strong leadership, client-facing communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple field teams and subcontractors in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead all phases of bridge or wastewater treatment projects, from preconstruction through closeout
Manage budgets, cost controls, schedules, subcontractors, and project documentation
Maintain strict adherence to safety standards and regulatory requirements
Collaborate with engineers, superintendents, inspectors, and municipal partners
Conduct progress meetings and provide regular reporting to ownership
Identify risks, resolve issues proactively, and support the success of field operations
Build strong professional relationships with clients and project stakeholders
Qualifications:
5+ years of Project Management experience in bridge construction or wastewater treatment projects
Strong understanding of structural concrete, heavy civil processes, or water/wastewater systems
Proven ability to run projects ranging from $5M to $50M+
Proficient in construction scheduling and project management software
Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred
Compensation & Benefits:
Base salary $90,000–$120,000 depending on experience
