Job Description:
GPAC has partnered with an established California law firm seeking a General Liability Associate Attorney to join their growing litigation team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated attorney with experience in insurance defense, general liability, and commercial litigation to take on complex and high-profile cases in a collaborative and supportive environment.
Responsibilities:
Represent clients in a wide range of general liability matters, including personal injury, property damage, and premises liability.
Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery requests; respond to opposing counsel’s motions and discovery.
Conduct depositions and participate in court hearings and pre-trial proceedings.
Manage a caseload from intake to resolution.
Advise clients on risk management strategies and potential liability exposure.
Negotiate settlements and assist in all aspects of trial preparation.
Work closely with partners and litigation team members to deliver exceptional results.
Keep up to date with legal developments relevant to general liability and insurance defense in California.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
Admission to the California Bar (required).
2+ years of experience in general liability or insurance defense litigation.
Strong writing, research, and communication skills.
Experience with depositions, hearings, and trial prep preferred.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team setting.
