Heavy Machinery Technician

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Machinery Mechanic/Technician with hands-on experience in maintaining and repairing industrial and production equipment. This role is crucial in ensuring operational efficiency through the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of heavy machinery used in manufacturing environments. Responsibilities for the Technician:

  • Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on heavy machinery and industrial equipment (mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems).
  • Conduct routine and preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
  • Install and commission new equipment, ensuring proper setup and operational safety.
  • Collaborate with operations teams to coordinate repairs and minimize production disruptions.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs, inspection records, and service documentation.
  • Support inventory management of parts and supplies needed for equipment maintenance.
  • Identify root causes of mechanical failures and recommend improvements to processes or equipment.

 

Qualifications for the Technician:

  • 3+ years of experience in heavy machinery or industrial maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
  • Experience with production equipment maintenance and repairs
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and organizational abilities
  • Safety-focused mindset; adherence to all OSHA and workplace safety standards
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
