Reliability Engineer – Job Posting
Position Overview
We are seeking a proactive and analytical Reliability Engineer to improve equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and support operational excellence across our manufacturing/industrial operations. This role will focus on preventive and predictive maintenance strategies, root cause analysis, asset performance improvement, and reliability-centered maintenance initiatives.
The ideal candidate is technically strong, data-driven, and passionate about improving system performance, safety, and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement reliability and maintenance strategies to improve equipment uptime and operational efficiency.
- Analyze equipment failures and conduct root cause analysis (RCA) to identify corrective and preventive actions.
- Lead reliability improvement projects focused on reducing downtime and maintenance costs.
- Support preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance programs.
- Monitor equipment performance using KPIs such as MTBF, MTTR, OEE, and downtime metrics.
- Collaborate with maintenance, operations, engineering, and production teams to resolve chronic equipment issues.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and continuous improvement.
- Assist with equipment commissioning, startup, and lifecycle management.
- Maintain and improve CMMS data accuracy, maintenance procedures, and asset documentation.
- Support spare parts optimization and critical asset management.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field.
- 3+ years of experience in reliability engineering, maintenance engineering, or industrial operations.
- Experience with root cause analysis methodologies such as 5 Whys, Fishbone, or FMEA.
- Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
- Familiarity with CMMS systems and maintenance planning tools.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in manufacturing, food & beverage, automotive, chemical, oil & gas, or industrial processing environments.
- Certification such as CMRP (Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional) preferred.
- Knowledge of vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis, or other predictive maintenance technologies.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
- Familiarity with PLCs, automation systems, and industrial controls.
